The show was a great success, and it was great to see the full group on stage (last time they were at Avoca Beach Picture Theatre, the stage was a bit smalleer). The audience loved it, with many members heard singing to some of the songs. Danny Boy, Eriskay Love Lilt, Nights in White Satin, Rhiannon, Don't Pay the Ferryman (yes....the group finds Celtic and mythological themes in a lot of the rock bands' music!) were particular favourites of the crowd, as well as All Souls Night, Wish Yourself a Merry Little Christmas (ABBA), and O Holy Night....actually, all songs were loved by the crowd. The next day, we heard many a local resident moan (at Macmasters Beach Surf Club Cafe) how they wished they had attended this show, and the regrets also have come in via facebook. The next show of The Seltic Sirens will be on 21st December at the Bankstown Sports Club.... so book early! ![]()

Only a few weeks before a return by the Seltic Sirens to the historic Avoca Picture Theatre. If ever you wanted that perfect Christmas gift for a loved friend or family member, this show is the answer. The amazing award-winning vocalist/sisters Tahlia and Ingrid (Racz) now complemented by Shannon Bacall, will fill your memories with a magical infusion of contemporary and classical songs, all with a special blend of this group's own re-arrangements. Add the keyboard genius of Dave Underwood, and we have the core of the Seltic Sirens. In the last 2 years they have filled auditoriums in most Sydney clubs; Souths Juniors (twice), Bankstown Sports (4 times), Blacktown Workers, Liverpool Catholic Club, Petersham RSL, Smithfield RSL, Penrith Panthers, Port Maquarie Panthers...... and the list goes on. Tahlia & Ingrid as lead singers of the eclectic Folk group (2004-2008) The Fellowship of the Strings were well known for outstanding shows, and were the only Australian group invited to the 2007 Ferrara Folk Festival in Italy. The sisters are also acknowledged as one of the best country duos in Australia (and were from 2008-2011 part of the award-winning 'Racz 'n Waters' singer/songwriter trio with KarenAnne Waters). Shannon Bacall spent 10 years as a singer/ dancer/ musician on international cruise ships. Dave Underwood is the musical anchor of the group, around which we find Shannon on violin, harp, flute; Tahlia on guitar, harp or mandolin; Ingrid on bodhran, djembe, mandolin. Depending on the size of the stage, the group extends with the addition of a classical harpist, currently Jenny Sawell, and drummer (Pete McDonaugh if not already booked by other major bands). In October 2013 at the Seltic Sirens concerts at both the Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre (Penrith) and at the Casula Powerhouse (both were sell-out concerts) the group were joined by lead guitarist and vocalist Jay Collie (lead singer of award-winning country rock band 'Jonah's Road'). Hopefully we'll see him at Avoca as well. There are several CDs and a DVD available for your Christmas stockings! Please subscribe to the Seltic Sirens website for the latest information and performances. Please leave your comments. Tahlia and Craig Herbert had a baby daughter (Madison Layla) in March, and she is developing her voice. She has appeared at the occasional concert. Welcome to our site, it has been a labour of love getting to this stage and we're happy to finally let you see it, hope you all like it !!!!
